Hit and miss, with some superb dishes still, such as the drunken noodles and the curries. I also like the salmon, the larb, and the pumpkin curry. Quirky décor, mostly designed by the chef/owner. Here is a good review in InTowner (other reviews above). Here is the menu: http://www.inshaw.com/blog/Thai%20X-ing.htm but right now they are doing a no-choice, fixed price menu for $40 or so. Previously you had to call and order in advance. You still need to reserve to get in. High peaks, but riskier than it used to be. Still worth the visit, though.

Previous review: February 16, 2007.

Related Posts:

Southeast Impression

Mum Aroi

Thai Treasure

Duangrat’s Oriental Food Mart

Lessons from the Washington, D.C. dining scene

Thai X-ing, web site, 515 Florida Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 202-332-4322, no lunch, All take-out (Metro Trip Planner – opens in new window) [Google | InTowner | Washingtonian | Don Rockwell |

[135,7,47
343,342,344,345,340,341
post-1427","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-columbia-heightshoward-university","category-dc","category-thai","tag-drunken-noodles","tag-florida-avenue-nw","tag-larb","tag-pumpkin-curry","tag-thai-2","tag-thai-x-ing
["GET
