{"id":3775,"date":"2017-01-29T16:37:15","date_gmt":"2017-01-29T21:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tylercowensethnicdiningguide.com\/?p=3775"},"modified":"2017-01-30T20:22:13","modified_gmt":"2017-01-31T01:22:13","slug":"finnish-dining-markets-in-everything","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tylercowensethnicdiningguide.com\/index.php\/finnish-dining-markets-in-everything\/","title":{"rendered":"Finnish dining markets in everything"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>A pop-up in Helsinki, Finland might have just stumbled upon the answer to a question nobody was really asking: <strong>How can I order delivery and also go to a restaurant at the same time?<\/strong> Sure, table service restaurants kind of do that already if you look at them from far away \u2014 customers enter a restaurant, they order, and food is delivered to their table \u2014 but the AmEx-sponsored <a href=\"http:\/\/takein.fi\/\">Take In<\/a> goes a step further.<\/p>\n<p>With no kitchen, guests at Take In choose from a curated selection of dishes from roughly 20 restaurants via an app called <strong>Wolt<\/strong>, the other sponsor of the pop-up. Guests eat their dinner in the Take In dining room. Take In offers bar service, and &#8220;hosting service,&#8221; helping get orders to the correct table. Guests who just want to drop in for a drink are welcome to do so. While it seems like a concept designed for solo diners, a Wolt spokeperson <a href=\"https:\/\/monocle.com\/radio\/shows\/the-menu\/275\/a-restaurant-with-no-kitchen\/\">tells Monocle<\/a> that the restaurant offers a solution for groups who can&#8217;t decide on what they <em>all<\/em> want to eat.
