Me Jana, web site, 2300 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA, 703-465-4440 (Metro Trip Planner – opens in new window) [Washingtonian | WaPo | Don Rockwell | NoVA Mag | Yelp]
Right now this is a clear #1 in the Lebanese department. The sausage, and dishes involving fatty meats, are especially good. As is the raw meat. Simply an excellent restaurant, tasty all around, and the best place to eat in the Courthouse area short of Ray’s Hell Burger.

The husband and I visited this restaurant twice over the last year and a half. The first visit occured during restaurant week in winter 2010. The husband wanted to bathe in their polenta. We liked it so much we wanted to go again. But the second visit about 6 months later dismayed us enough to write the place off our list. It was a apparent that the restaurant’s popularity overcame its culinary ambitions. This left us with overcooked meats, cold dishes that should have been warm, and the second worst kunafa I’ve ever eaten (the cheese was cold and chewy and it was clearly warmed with only a blowtorch or the warming station lights).
As for atmosphere, this is now clearly a place to see and be seen, or take a date that will appreciate the decor and low lighting.
