Bombay Curry Company, web site, 3102 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA, 703-836-6363 , in the Calvert Buidling next to Del Merei Grille, (Metro Trip Planner – opens in new window) [Washingtonian | WaPo | City Paper | Don Rockwell | openlist | Yelp]
The food is excellent, the prices are cheap, and the menu is innovative. I like the Kandai Chicken best, and then perhaps the lamb in spinach. But it is hard to go wrong here. Unlike most other Indian restaurants, they offer a unique product. Go, and go often.

Definitely good Indian food. Good size portions and all servings come out at the same time (can’t imagine how hard that is for a lot of restaurants).
