The trendiest Vietnamese place around, and the one hardest to get in to, and the one with the most beautiful women. The food here is above average, but it’s for me not worth the hassle. The dishes are made too sweet to appeal to the crowd, even though the ingredients are above average and the décor looks nice. Many of you will have this place as your favorite, but for me it is a dominated asset. Astute diners will note the presence of snails in coconut cream, otherwise they don’t seem to have special dishes. If you can get a table, however, there is no particular reason not to go.

My husband and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. It was packed and we ended up sitting by the door which was not pleasant because you end up with people waiting for a table hovering over you. We had the shredded chicken and cabbage salad which was pretty good. My grilled beef with steam thin vermicelli was also good. My husband’s grilled pork with crispy spring roll and vermicelli was mediocre. It had shredded iceberg lettuce instead of leaf lettuce. Really? It so disappointing when Vietnamese restaurants use iceberg in their vermicelli dishes. That’s a big no, no in Vietnamese cooking.

Ate there tonight. Had a reservation so no waiting. Caramelized chicken in clay pot was wonderful and plenty to eat. Dinner for two $35.00. Great meal, great price, great service. Need to unbutton my pants now.
