Anh Hong & Asian Spices BBQ

Anh Hong & Asian Spices BBQ, Eden Center, 6793-C Wilson Blvd Falls Church, VA, 703-992-6099 (Metro Trip Planner – opens in new window) [Google]

In the home of the former Tay Do, they specialize in “7 Courses of Beef” (also see here) and have cornered the market there. Their treatment is consistently good, though it’s actually not enough food to make a whole meal. Reasonably priced, though, at $14.99 a head for the 7 courses. Excellent sausage spring rolls, #5 on the menu, and in general they have above-average Vietnamese meat dishes. Worth trying, especially since 7 Courses of Beef is hard to get in this area.

The owners of Tay Do retired after many years of running the different iterations of their family-run restaurant (Bun Phuong, Hau Giang, Tay Do). Now their kids are running things, reopening the restaurant w/a different name and slightly different menu. They have 2 places at Eden Center: Anh Hong and the other name I can’t remember (I think it may be Viet Bistro – it’s located next to Co Cu Saigon in the center mall, in the old Tay Do location).

Update: they’ve sold the other restaurant (the one next to Co Cu Saigon), so now the family only owns Anh Hong. Same menu as at Tay Do, I highly recommend their Banh Xeo and the noodle bowl w/grilled pork (#53). Yum!

What’s wrong with the Bo 7 Mon at Viet Royale in the Eden Center? Will have to try it here, too.
