Mostly they serve burgers and the like. You have to ask for the Filipino menu at the counter. I have yet to go, the recommendation is from Papan Devnani, who tells me the dishes are named in Tagalog, a good sign. They close at 7 pm evenings, 3 pm on Sundays, and also serve Filipino breakfast.

Similar to your observation made in your Little Quiapo review, many Filipino restaurants are disappointing and can’t hold a candle to home-cooked Filipino food. Fairfax Inn is one of the few exceptions in the area. Very solid dishes and some outstanding ones. As a diner / lunch counter, it’s a great place to introduce to people who haven’t tried the cuisine before. The dinuguan is outstanding.
