Yummy in taste and original in execution, the kitfo is great here and the place even looks nice. The best Ethiopian in this entire area, every dish here is strong.

A new Ethiopian market and restaurant named Meaza has opened near the old Meaza’s location, on Columbia Pike a little east of Bailey’s Crossroads. I just noticed it today. I didn’t go in, but the facade and signage are much spiffier than the old one’s.
I had mixed feelings about the old Meaza. Once my vegetarian platter was served at room temperature, like at most other Ethiopian restaurants I’ve been to, but the next time it was served fridge-cold.

i just sow your coment in the website, while i was looking for meaza’s restaurant phone number to order take out vegterian food. I don’t know why most Ethiopian restaurant serve the vegiterian dish cold. but i like mine it warm, so i will remind them to heat my food whene i place my order. By the way you should go and try Meaz’s food. It is exellent. It is a fasting season for Cherstian Ethiopian’s, and you will get 17 kind of vegetrian dish to choose from. i Hope you will enjoy it as i did. Thanks.

I’ve been to the reopened Meaza since I posted that comment, and I agree that it’s excellent. Also, my food was served warm. 🙂
